THE BRAIDEL GAME
Featuring The Braille Dreidle (Dreidel),
this blindfolded game is a catalyst
for dialogue about difference.
It is intended to support
conversation about equality,
safety, and opportunity.
The Braidel Game was introduced
to the classroom in 2009 at Fern
Hill Elementary School in
Forest Grove, Oregon.
With funding from the
Southern Poverty Law Center,
school counselor Marinda Peters
incorporated The Braidel Game
into her anti-bullying curriculum.
The game is intended for 2nd grade
through high school use. While the
subject matter may be serious, the
delivery is a fun game where kids
need to trust each other to play.
